Neighborhood

The neighborhood is quiet and you probably won't see much of the neighbors around as houses are far apart. Most people are very busy during the spring, summer and fall with lots of travelers coming through Hanksville. This is a rural setting, don't expect many of the conveniences of the city, but that's what makes us a great place to visit. You will, however, be able to find all the necessities you need. Also being very rural people tend to save and collect things others may consider "junk" so don't be surprised by a little clutter around town. Also there is no public transportation, but you don't need it, you can walk anywhere in town in about 10 minutes.

Guest Access

You will have access to the entire House. We do leave cleaning supplies and other maintenance items in the Pantry which is off the laundry room. The access is not restricted but the items in that room should not be important to your stay. If it is in our home you are welcome to use it.

Good to know

Fruit trees surround the house and there is no lawn. If there is fruit on the trees and ripe, help yourselves, keep in mind we do not spray pesticides so you might be sharing with a tiny friend. We do have some firewood available by the fire pit, use what you need but please leave what you don't for the next guest.

This home is very private but easy to find right off the main road. It has every comfort you want during a desert adventure: beds are very comfortable, ac is amazing, lots of seating, 2 full bathrooms, and fully stocked kitchen. Host is so welcoming and is local so very responsive. There is a huge parking area so your boats, bikes, and campers have room. It's truly the best stay in town (trust me, I've tried them all).

Wonderful home in Hanksville! Curtis is a fantastic host, very accommodating of our university robotics team while we competed in the Hanksville area. The house is well stocked with the essentials, and the Bull Mountain Market is right next door for anything we missed. Would definitely recommend to anyone staying in the area!

This was our second time staying here, so obviously we liked it or we would not have returned. It is clean and comfortable and is a great place for a group to stay before and adventures in the local area. We will book again should we need a place to stay in Hanksville in the future. Highly recommended!

Trista's Farmhouse was great for the 4 of us. Could have accommodated 4 couples. Some of the furnishings are dated or worn, but it is clean and comfortable. We loved having the room. We went to the Market just in front and bought groceries and cooked dinner, which was great. Used the laundry room, again, great.

We stayed here as stop 1 on a roadtrip from provo to Phoenix, the surrounding area was beautiful and the house was perfectly situated within walking distance of the restaurants in town Would recommend to anyone who needs a stop in or around Hanksville!

The accommodation is very spacious, perfect for a large family. It was very comfortable, and we enjoyed our stay. Communication with Curtis was uncomplicated and pleasant. The house is centrally located. There's a grocery store just around the corner. If we come back to Hanksville, we will book this accommodation again.

We checked in after a long day of driving and hiking. It was great to just pull up, unload everything, and get some rest. The home felt spacious and comfortable. There were only 6 of us, so most had their own bed and room. The home was easy to find and peaceful. We look forward to staying again.

We enjoyed our time here! It was a very comfortable space that had everything we needed. We had a baby with us and he loved having room to play and explore. We would definitely recommend staying here!

Place was clean with lots of room . While not a big city 5 star place it was a good time and Curtis was very helpful trying to sort out an extra stay due to car troubles and quick communication.

It is a lovely, clean and spacious farmhouse. It’s easy to visit some great sightseeing sites: Goblin Valley State Park, Factory Butte, Moonscape Overlook, Long Dong Silver Spire and Bentonite Hills. Curtis is very responsive, and offers some good recommendations. I would highly recommend his farmhouse.
